In a colourful professional speaking career spanning over 25 years, Homer Papantonio has morphed into Australia’s foremost comic speechmakers, social commentators and raconteurs. Homer has exquisitely created riveting tailored keynotes at over 2000 conventions, symposiums and events for a diverse range of clients from both the private and public sectors to spectacular reviews Australia-wide and abroad. Homer is passionate about helping people and communities by spearheading the introduction of Rewards4Earth and the Erth Points System to community clubs.
Graduating in the early 1980s with a Diploma in Recreation Leadership & Management from Victoria University, Homer also spent two years studying at the Sydney School of Acting. All this preordained him to stand and deliver in a diverse range of settings. Homer has been employed as a Recreation Director for major resorts including Club Med in Noumea as well as at Australia’s largest all-inclusive called The Resort. Homer has also held leadership roles within both local and state governments for several years before joining Qantas to work as an International Flight Attendant. It is with Qantas that he pursued his global mission of studying and impersonating accents from people all around the world.
Homer has written a biography entitled “The Great Pretender” which contains valuable lessons on living a fully engaged life. A worn-out triathlete, cycling tragic and well-being prophet Homer is married to his long-suffering wife Meryl with three grown sons Jerome, Daniel and Marcus. He has called the Southern Gold Coast home for 30 years and is committed to empowering communities and healing the planet.
